About the guest: Dana Connell received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine and Master of Public Health from the University of Florida. After a year of internship at Auburn University, Dana pursued a three-year oncology residency at the University of Illinois. There, she earned an additional master’s degree researching the use of itraconazole as a chemosensitizer for treatment of metastatic osteosarcoma. Upon becoming board-certified in medical oncology, she worked as a clinical oncologist, then moved into a medical directorship. She served as the Oncology Representative on the Ethos Specialty Advisory Board and the Specialty Representative on the South Carolina Association of Veterinarians Board of Directors.
